A creative workplace
Learn in a friendly, supportive environment.
Second Wave is a youth arts centre in the heart of Deptford. Our work experience placements give you the chance to see what happens behind the scenes at a real creative organisation. Youโll meet artists, youth workers, producers and other creative professionals, as well as young people taking part in our programmes. You donโt have to know exactly what career you want. Work experience is a chance to ask questions, try things out and see what interests you.
For schools & colleges
We work with schools and colleges to provide meaningful work experience.
We can offer creative work experience placements for students aged 14โ24, giving young people an insight into the creative industries while developing practical workplace skills, confidence and communication.
Placements can include individual students or small groups, depending on availability.
We can discuss placement dates, hours, student interests, safeguarding, risk assessments and any requirements from your school or college.
