Changemakers: Leadership and Volunteering

Second Wave's Young Leaders and Volunteers have been recognised nationally for the amazing contribution that they make to the community. Volunteering at Wave is about building your skills and representing other young people on important issues. Our programmes connect you with like-minded young people and introduce you to community engagement practice.
Regular programmes around workshops, outreach, events and work experience are available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Register your interest and our team will get in touch with you soon.

Critical Encounters

Our ground-breaking work brings together officers and young people to change hearts and mind. Set in our friendly centre, Critical Encounters breaks down stereotypes and nurtures relationships between young people and police through regular workshops. We believe our communities can learn from the creative intelligence of young people, and Critical Encounters is our programme that can prove it.
