Our Purpose

Second Wave empowers young people's creativity and activism through engaging young people as performers, writers, lyricists and technicians - developing new productions and youth-led creative outreach projects in the community.
A registered charity, Second Wave has been working with young people and developing new plays for young audiences since 1982.
The company has developed the careers of many young writers, performers and educators.
As an independent charity, Second Wave raises income to support an ongoing programme of work with young people. Click to get in touch with us.

Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

For our contributions to youth arts, education, community engagement and social justice benefits in Lewisham, Second Wave has been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a charity can receive in UK.

Work with Us

If you want to refer a young person to us, please send us an email requesting a referral form.

For work enquiries, please email us a cover letter covering letter and CV telling us why you would like to work with our team. We are a small organisation and will do our best to get back to you soon.

You can also subscribe to our mailing list and we will keep you posted with details of our upcoming programme and vacancies.

We only collect data that is necessary for our services. Our site collects no personal information that you do not voluntarily provide by filling in our contact forms. We place no trackers or store no cookies on your computer. The secure members site places necessary cookies for functioning of the interative sections.
